Week 13 Fantasy Football overview

There was no Thursday Night Football game to start week 13.

New Orleans and Chiefs first teams to clinch playoff spots

New Orleans became the first team to clinch a playoff spot. Taysom Hill threw his first two touchdown passes of his career in the Saints 21-16 win over the Falcons. The Chiefs became the second team to clinch a playoff spot with a 22-16 victory over the Broncos. The New York Giants are in first place in the NFC East after playing a solid defensive game in beating the Seattle Seahawks 17-12.

Fumbles & Torches

Chicago quarterback Mitchell Trubisky fumbled late in the game, allowing Detroit to score twice in a 41-second span. Lions 34-Bears 30. Darrell Bevell is 1-0 as the new head coach for the Lions. T.Y. Hilton torched the Houston defense for 110 yards and a TD. Houston had a chance for the win, but Deshaun Watson fumbled the game away on the 2-yard line with 90 seconds left in the game. Colts 26-Texans 20.

In his Patriots career, Bill Belichick coached teams are 20-5 versus rookie quarterbacks. Rookie Justin Herbert looked awful in a game dominated by the New England defense and special teams (36 fantasy points). Patriots 45-Chargers 0. Another Justin might win rookie of the year. Vikings receiver Justin Jefferson had 121 receiving yards and a TD. Jacksonville played Minnesota tough, but Dan Bailey kicked a game-winning field goal in overtime to give the Vikings a 27-24 win over the Jaguars.

Dolphins win ugly, Raiders pull off last second victory

The Dolphins win an ugly one as they beat the Bengals 19-7. The Raiders pulled off a last-second victory over the New York Jets. Derek Carr hit Henry Ruggs III with a 46 yard TD catch with 5 seconds left. Tight End Darren Waller had a monster day for Oakland with 200 receiving yards and 2 TDs. Jets fans should be ecstatic that they are still in the lead for Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence. The LA Rams ran all over the Arizona Cardinals for 119 yards and 3 TDs. Rams 38-Cardinals 28.

Aaron throws his 400th Touchdown.

Aaron Rodgers threw three touchdowns, including the 400th of his career, and Aaron Jones rushed for 130 yards, including a 77-yard game-clinching touchdown run. Packers 30-16 over the Eagles. Carson Wentz finally got benched, and Jalen Hurts threw his first touchdown in the NFL.

Baker Baker, the touchdown maker.

Baker threw 4 TD’s in the first half in the Browns 45-31 win over the Titans. He’s the first Cleveland quarterback to do it since Otto Graham. The Browns officially locked up their first winning season since 2007. King Derrick Henry was a dunce as he only had (4.90 fantasy points)

Pop Bottles

The ’72 Dolphins are popping champagne bottles after the Washington football team went into Pittsburgh and gave the Steelers their first loss of the season, 23-17. The 1972 Miami Dolphins are the only undefeated team in NFL history. Pittsburgh (11-1) missed a chance to clinch a playoff berth and dropped into a tie with defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City for the top spot in the AFC with four games remaining.
