Week 14 Fantasy Football overview
Rematch Time
Week 14 started on Thursday night with a Super Bowl LIII rematch between the New England Patriots and Los Angeles Rams. Tom Brady and Gronk are gone for New England, and the Rams offense is a shell of what it used to be. The Rams dominated, and I think it’s safe to say that Cam Newton’s career as a starter is over. Rams 24 Patriots 3.
Losing Streaks come to an end
The Cardinals ended a three-game losing streak, and their defense had their way with the New York Giants‘ offense. Denver quarterback Drew Lock looked like John Elway throwing 4 TDs in a 32-27 shoot out victory over the Carolina Panthers. King Henry did it again. It was his fourth game with at least 200 yards rushing and 2 TDs. The Titans dominated the Jaguars 31-10. Andy Dalton returned home to Cincinnati and threw 2 TDs in the Cowboys 30-7 beat down of the Bengals. Quarterback Mitchell Trubisky three TDs and outplayed Deshaun Watson as Chicago ended a six-game losing streak. Bears 36 Houston 7.
Minnesota should be looking for another kicker.
Dan Bailey missed a couple of field goals, and they lost to Tom Brady and Tampa Bay 26-14. T.Y. Hilton caught two touchdowns, and rookie running back Jonathan Taylor ran for two and had 150 yards rushing in the Colts easy win over the Raiders 44-27. Russell Wilson threw four more touchdowns passes to give him a new career-high with 36 for the season before leaving the game in the fourth quarter, leading the Seahawks to a 40-3 rout of the Jets. The Washington football team scored a couple of defensive touchdowns and secured first place in the NFC East with a 23-15 victory over the 49ers.
Eight Game touchdown streak
Green Bay Wide receiver Davante Adams has caught a touchdown in eight straight games. The Packers beat the Lions 31-24 and move to the top of the NFC. They have a shot at a home-field advantage through the playoffs. Atlanta quarterback Matt Ryan look awful by throwing three interceptions against Los Angeles. Kicker Michael Badgley hit a 43-yard field goal as time expired to lift the Chargers to a 20-17 victory over the Falcons. The Chiefs played sloppily and held off the Dolphins‘ 17 fourth-quarter points to win their eighth straight game and clinch the AFC West for the fifth year in a row. Chiefs 33 Dolphins 27. With Miami’s loss, the Pittsburgh Steelers clinched a playoff spot.
Jalen hurts Saints
The New Orleans Saints came back to reality in Philadelphia on Sunday. Their nine-game win streak was snapped with a 24-21 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. Quarterback Jalen Hurts and running back Miles Sanders ran for 100 yards each, and wide receiver Alshon Jeffery caught his first touchdown of the year.
Buffalo makes a statement
Buffalo let the rest of the league know that they are the real deal on Sunday Night Football. Josh Allen threw a couple of touchdowns, and wide receiver Stefon Diggs caught 10 passes for 130yards in the Bills 26-15 win over the Steelers. Pittsburgh has now lost two in a row after winning their first 11 games.
Game of the year
And we had the game of the year on Monday Night Football. It’s 2020, so we deserved this one. There were eight combined rushing touchdowns from the Ravens and Browns. Baker Mayfield did everything possible to get Cleveland the win. The only problem is that he was going against Lamar Jackson. Jackson had left the game with cramps but came back late in the fourth quarter and threw a TD to Hollywood Brown for the lead. Baker connected with Nick Chubb on a TD pass to take the lead, but he left too much time on the clock for the Ravens. Jackson drove them down the field for a Justin Tucker game-winning 55 yard field goal. Baltimore got a safety to end the game. Ravens 47 Browns 42.
