Week 16 saw a lot of teams clinch playoff berths.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are heading to the postseason for the first time since the 2007 season. Tom Brady had a great game with 348 passing yards and 4 TDs in a 47-7 blowout win over the Lions. The 49ers play spoiler in a 20-12 upset win over the Cardinals. The Cardinals have to beat the Los Angeles Rams next Sunday to reach the postseason.

Kansas City Chiefs clinch the AFC West

The Kansas City Chiefs clinch the AFC West with a tough 17-14 win over the Atlanta Falcons. The Chiefs get the AFC’s lone first-round playoff bye. Big Ben rallies the Steelers to an epic 28-24 comeback victory over the Indianapolis Colts. With this victory, Pittsburgh captures the AFC North.

The Bears control their own playoff destiny.

The Bears control their own playoff destiny. They put a 41-17 ass whooping on the Jaguars. All they have to do is beat the Packers next week, and they are in. Dez Bryant scored his second touchdown of the year and helped the Ravens get their fourth victory in a row as they beat the New York Giants 27-13. With the Colts and Browns losing, the Ravens will get into the playoffs with a win over the Bengals next week.

Bengals win a shootout, and the Cowboys stay alive

The Bengals win a 37-31 shootout over the Texans. It’s the first road game they have won since Week 4 of the 2018 season. The Dallas Cowboys stay alive and eliminate the Philadelphia Eagles 37-17. The Washington football team failed to clinch the NFC East with a 20-13 loss to Carolina. They can still clinch the division if they can beat the Eagles next week. The Broncos made a comeback but still fell short to the LA Chargers 19-16. The Seahawks clinched the NFC West with 20-9 thumping of the Rams. LA did not score a touchdown for the first time this season. And last night in the frozen tundra of Lambeau Field, Aaron Rodgers picked apart the Tennesse defense. He threw 4 touchdowns, with three of them going to Davante Adams in the Packers 40-14 blowout of the Titans.

The Titans can secure the AFC South

The Titans can secure the AFC South division with a victory over the Texans next week. Josh Allen threw 4 TDS, and Stefon Diggs caught 3 of them as the Buffalo Bills stomped all over the New England Patriots 38-9 on the last Monday Night Football game of the season.

THE JETS WIN BACK-TO-BACK GAMES

The New York Jets have themselves a two-game winning streak with a 23-16 win over Cleveland. And Frank Gore became the NFL’s third 16,000-yard rusher. The future Hall of Famer will need at least one more season of action to catch Walter Payton for the No. 2 spot on the NFL’s all-time rushing list. The Browns needed a win to clinch a playoff spot, but seven players tested positive for covid, including all their wide receivers. The Browns need to beat the Steelers next Sunday if they are going to end the NFL’s longest playoff drought.

KAMARA HELPS LOTS OF FANTASY FOOTBALL OWNERS WIN LEAGUE TITLES

Merry Christmas to all Alvin Kamara fantasy owners. You will probably win your league championship this weekend since he had 53.20 fantasy points. It must have been because of his Christmas-themed shoes. He wore a red shoe on his right foot and a green one on his left that helped him rush for 155 yards and six TDs in a 55-33 win over the Vikings.

FITZMAGIC DOES IT AGAIN

Coach Flores benched Tua Tagovailoa in the fourth quarter and it probably saved their season. With 19 seconds left in the game Ryan Fitzpatrick threw up a prayer, and Mack Hollins caught it, and it set up Jason Sanders for a 44-yard game-winning field goal as the Dolphins stun the Raiders 26-25. The Dolphins can clinch a wild-card berth with a win next week at Buffalo. The Raiders were eliminated from the postseason for the 17th time in 18 seasons.
