FANTASY FOOTBALL 2020 WEEK 11 RECAP – STUDS AND DUDS
WEEK 11 FANTASY FOOTBALL RE-CAP
NON PPR AKA STANDARD SCORING STUDS AND DUDS OF THE WEEK
Week 11 started on Thursday night with the Seahawks beating the Cardinals 28-21. The Houston Texans finally beat someone not named the Jacksonville Jaguars. Deshaun Watson had 31.36 fantasy points in their 27-20 win over the Patriots.
The Lions had never been shut out with Matthew Stafford at QB until Sunday, when the Panthers beat them easily 20-0. The Bengals lost any chance of making the playoffs, because rookie QB Joe Burrow tore his ACL and MCL in their loss to Washington 20-9.
Nick Chubb ran all over the Philadelphia defense, and Carson Wentz looked god awful throwing two picks, one of them being a pick-six in the Browns 22-17 win over the Eagles. Tua time got benched for Fitzmagic. The rookie QB couldn’t handle the altitude, the cold, or the Denver defense in the Dolphins loss to the Broncos 20-13.
Justin Herbert shaved his locks this week, but he didn’t turn into Sampson. He shredded the New York defense for 366 yards and 3 TDs for 27.74 fantasy points. Chargers 34- Jets 28. With Joe Burrow‘s injury, this makes Herbert the front runner for offensive rookie of the year.
Epic Comeback
Ezekiel Elliott finally hit 100 yards for the first time this year in their epic comeback win over the Vikings 31-28. It’s the first time the Cowboys have scored more than 20 points since Dak Prescott‘s season-ending injury against the Giants in week 5.
The Packers were up 28-14 at halftime but could only muster 3 points in the second half and overtime in the Colts 34-31 comeback win. The Raiders scored too fast and left too much time on the clock for Patrick Mahomes. 1:43, to be precise. All he did was march the Chiefs downfield, throwing for 75 yards and a game-winning touchdown to Travis Kelce. Chiefs 35 Raiders 31. Robert Woods and Cooper Kupp helped the Rams beat the Bucs 27-24, and Tom Brady looked bad, throwing two interceptions.
Steelers remain unbeaten
The Pittsburgh Steelers are 10-0 for the first time in their franchise’s history, and they dominated the Jaguars 27-3. Big Ben Roethlisberger threw for 267 yards and two touchdowns in the victory. One of those touchdowns went to rookie Chase Claypool, who is now the first wide receiver to score 10 touchdowns in his first ten games.
All Hail the King
NFL rushing leader Derrick Henry ran for a game-winning walk-off touchdown in overtime, and he led his team to beat the Baltimore Ravens 30-24. King Henry had 19.20 fantasy points. Tennessee is 2-3 in their last five games after starting the season 5-0, and Lamar Jackson is now 6-5 in his last 11 starts. NFL defenses have figured him out.
Taysom Hill is Tim Tebow 2.0
The former signal-caller from B.Y.U won his first career start as a quarterback without throwing a touchdown. He did pass for 233 yards and had 51 rushing yards and two touchdowns for 24.42 fantasy points. Julio Jones didn’t play again because of his bad hamstring, and the Saints defense was all up in Matt Ryan‘s ass and held him to 5.28 fantasy points. The Saints beat down the Falcons 24-9.
