As we kick off preseason week one, I’ve got some hot NFL training camp updates for you. From quarterback controversies to unexpected injuries, the drama is already unfolding. Let’s dive into the latest news that could impact your fantasy football strategies and NFL viewing experience this season.
Congrats to all the legends who were inducted into the Pro Football Hall Of Fame yesterday! The Texans vs Bears game ended early because of a storm. What did you think of the new kickoff rule? It’s a no for me, dawg.
It’s officially preseason week one, and I’ve got some training camp tea for you:
- Steelers QB Russell Wilson hurt his calf and might lose his starting job to Justin Fields. Ouch!
- After Wednesday’s practice, Chargers QB Justin Herbert was diagnosed with a plantar fascia injury in his right foot. He’ll be rocking a walking boot for two weeks. Talk about stepping into the season on the wrong foot!
- Jets QB Aaron Rodgers got into a heated argument with his star WR Garrett Wilson. Broadway-level drama in the Big Apple, folks!
- Titan’s WR DeAndre Hopkins will be out 4-6 weeks with a knee injury. Bummer!
- Geno Smith suffered a knee and hip injury that will keep him out indefinitely. Sam Howell would be the Seahawks QB1 if it lingers.
- Finally, 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy says training camp is the time to “experiment.” But after throwing a bunch of interceptions, the experiment seems to be blowing up in his face. Seven picks in two days—yikes!
